Typical Project Rail Transit Wuhan Metro Line 1# 2# Main Substation Integrated Automation System

Wuhan Metro Line 1# 2# Main Substation Integrated Automation System

The first phase of Wuhan Metro Line 2# is an important trunk line in the urban rail transit network planning of Wuh, which is a major line that runs northwest-southeast. The first phase of Wuhan Metro Line 2# adopts centralized power supply mode, in which 110/35KV main substation is established, together with the mixed substation, independent step-down substation and follow-up step-down substation. The traction network adopts the power supply mode of cathode contact rail bottom contact type and running rail negative return. The rated voltage is 750V DC, and the contact rail adopts steel-aluminum composite rail. The feeder cable of the traction/ step-down mixed substation DC750V is connected to the contact rail via an electric disconnector. A total of 23 rail over-voltage protection devices are installed throughout the line. The power supply system is designed as “unmanned”.

The second phase of Wuhan Metro Line 1#, with a total length of 19.468 kilometers, is the east-west extension line of the first phase. In the second phase of the project, a centralized power supply mode is adopted, and new 110KV/10KV main substations are built in Gutian 2nd Road and Erqi Road, respectively. Traction substations are built in the stations along the line and in the vehicles. Each station and vehicle is equipped with step-down substations, which are substituted by traction/ step-down mixed substations in case of the same position with traction substations.
