Project Overview:

Huizhou BYD Industrial Park Phase I photovoltaic power generation project locates in Daya Bay of Huizhou, Guangdong Province. With the advantages of distributed photovoltaic nearby power generation, nearby grid connection, nearby conversion and nearby utilization, this project adopts the idle roof of BYD Industrial Park to install the distributed solar energy photovoltaic power station with total installed capacity of 20MW to provide clean power for the park. The annual power generation of this project is 20.0979 million Kwh, the total power generation for 25 years is 502.44381 million Kwh (with consideration on efficiency attenuation factor), it is estimated to save standard coal by 200,978 tons, when protecting the environment, it can effectively relieve the power pressure of the park.

Project Characteristics:

●Bad natural environment: the center of the power station site locates at east longitude 114°27′, north latitude 22°47′ with an elevation of 35m, and is near the sea with typhoon all the year;

●Big project size: the project is constructed on 15 industrial plants of BYD Industrial Park with the total roof area of 220,000m2;

●The environment of the industrial park is relatively complicated: the industrial park mainly composes of two functional areas: IT and automobile parts manufacturing, including the two functional areas, workshops and apartments with centralized stream of people. The factory was constructed early and the design load of the roof is relatively low;

●It is the EPCturn-key engineering: the project covers the design, purchase and construction of photovoltaic power station and grid connection access. 

Solutions:

●With comprehensive consideration on factors such as technology, economy and site, during scheme design, the system module is reasonably designed to reduce the frequency of replacing different components. The photovoltaic battery pack adopts polysilicon assembly which features long service life and high conversion efficiency. In the area of 220,000m2, altogether 76896 pieces of polysilicon assemblies with nominal power of 310Wp are installed, and the space is utilized to the max degree.

●In order to ensure that the load is lower than the loading capacity of the roof, the foundation and photovoltaic support are optimized during design, the 19° inclined angle fixed mode is adopted for installation, which effectively improved the wind resistance and receive most solar resources;

●According to the characteristics of complicated environment in the industrial park, the power transmission line design and construction are promoted scientifically and reasonably, avoiding the sensitive points, doing well in noise isolation and reduction for relevant equipment, combining the anti-radiation treatment, the product has reduced the influence to the surrounding environment as much as possible; 

●The 40K string type inverter is adopted to convert the DC power output by the photovoltaic battery output into the 480VAC power, the inverter composes of the 3-channel MPPT and can quickly and accurately find the max power point of the photovoltaic battery, and ensure highest power generation efficiency of the photovoltaic system;

●The whole photovoltaic power generation system composes of 4subsystems, after local boosting with 10kV booster transformer, the power is connected with the 10kV switchboard room of BYD Industrial Park for the load terminals, the surplus power is provided to the national power grid through switchboard room, which can improve the utilization rate of solar power and increase the economic benefit.
