Project Overview:

South Tower of the Ping'an Financial Center is located in the center of Futian District in Shenzhen, it is the twin tower of the first high-rise building in China at present (Shenzhen Ping’an Financial Center (the north tower)) with height of 289m. It is consisted of 5-floor basements and 51-floor tower with the total construction area reaching 191301m2. The main construction purpose is business office, luxury hotel, entertainment, and high-end business. Farad Electric Co., Ltd. undertook the installation works of municipal exterior line and transformer substation of the project, involving in design, application, supply, installation, commissioning, acceptance for power transmission and after-sales service etc for HV and LV distribution cabinets and cables etc. 

Requirements of the Employer:

●Cooperate with general contracting project to pass the acceptance at one time; 

●Ensure to get national quality engineering prize, strive to get LuBan Prize, and Zhan Tianyou Prize;

●Ensure to pass LEED Gold Certification, the one-star evaluation identification of green construction of USGBC and copper grade evaluation for green construction design of Shenzhen;

●Cooperate the general contracting unit to ensure that the project site meets the safety and civilized site standards of Shenzhen City and Guangdong Province ;

●Electricity requirements: When any circuit of power is faulty, other circuits can ensure normal power supply.

Project Characteristics:

●The project scale is large: Total installed capacity of the project is 25339kW,the transformer’s total installed capacity is 19700kVA,80 pieces of HV cabinets, 200 pieces of LV cabinets, 18 sets of transformers, and the laying of 5-way 10 kV incoming line cables;

●The wiring type of LV power supply system is special: The low voltage adopts single bus section operation, and the manual liaison switch is set between the buses ; When one of the transformers is disconnected or breaks down, the parts that shall be removed shall be not grade I and II loads, and then close the connecting switch, to ensure normal operation of grade I and II loads;

●Many plans are used to ensure electrical safety: There are 7 distribution rooms underground and on the ground, and the 21st floor and 32nd floor are respectively equipped with high-rise transformer distribution rooms, which can sufficiently meet the using requirements entering top boutique hotel (Park Hyatt) of the world.

Solutions:

●Special and thorough hoisting transport plan: The project's channel and goods elevator are very narrow, Farad Electric Co., Ltd. quickly designed many hoisting transport plans specially aiming at the four sets of 5-ton transformers or so, and many sets of large-scale assembled LV cabinets, to ensure the equipment can be transported to the site smoothly;

●The HV and LV automatic distribution monitoring systems with high reliability: The monitoring is comprehensive and accurate, so that the failures can be debugged in the first time. The HV monitoring system can monitor the voltage, current, power factor, active power and reactive power of the 10 kV switch cabinet's outgoing and incoming lines; the equipment can monitor temperature of various transformers, voltage, current, frequency, and operating state of the generator ; while the LV system can monitor voltage, current, power factor, active power, reactive power, and electric energy of the switch cabinet’s incoming line, as well as the current and electric energy of the switch cabinet's outgoing line circuit;

●Humanized intelligent auxiliary system: Such as the intelligent lighting control system and the electric fire monitoring system etc.
